I can’t delete messages from server. «Delete» is marked and the massage is deleted in the application, but when I look it throw using «The Bat» the message is still there. How can I solve this problem?

When you mark “Delete” you delete the message from WapAlta server, but not from your mailbox.

WapAlta provides notification support, but it doesn’work!

You have to cut the appendix off. If it doesn’t work you can’t get the notification. There might be some problems when curtail with SonyEricsson phones. To avoid it, you have to turn the app off and then start it again. In this case, all messages you get are stored in your phone memory.

Does it work in Ukraine (Byelorussia, Georgia, …)?

Of course, it does! You can use this application, no matter where you are and what is your cellular operator.

How WapAlta differs from Mail.ru agent? Could you please describe the priorities of your application under Mail.ru agent service?

There are some key distinctions between WapAlta service and Mail.ru agent:

  • Using WapAlta you can operate with any mailboxes including free services like @mail.ru or corporative mailboxes;
  • WapAlta provides messages and attached files considering every mobile phone’s character. If someone will send you e-mail message with photofile attached, Mail.ru agent will not open it. WapAlta automatically adaptates all files to your mobile phone providing the high speed of downloads.
  • WapAlta provides data compression so as you can decrease your traffic expense up to 80%.

Is it possible to withdraw from registration? How can I do that?

To withdraw from registration, you have to contact our support team from the mailbox that you want to delete. Then you’ll have to send us a confirmation and your mailbox will be deleted.

Is there device for SMTP / POP3?

Unfortunately, there is no device for SMTP / POP3. You can operate WapAlta in two ways: using wapalta.mobi or JAVA-application.

What should I do if I’ve registered and indicated my phone number but didn’t get a access code by sms notification ?

We send you an sms with your mailbox address and password in case you’ll forget it. There is no access code. If you didn’t get sms it’s ok. Just input your address and password at wapalta.mobi or JAVA-application!

I can’t enter the system using my login and password. What does it mean?

Are you trying to enter wapalta.mobi?
Check one more time if your password and login is correct and then try to enter wapalta.mobi from your PC.
If you’ve entered wapalta.mobi from your PC there are two reasons why you can’t do that via mobile phone:

  • your login or password was not correct;
  • cookies are off in your mobile phone browser.

I’ve enabled my mailbox on «@mail.ru» but I can’t get my messages. What is the problem?

The message might have not been transmited to WapAlta service yet. There may be a delay of several minutes.
Try one more time later.

Can I get WapAlta from my cellular operator?

No, you can not. To get it you have to register on this site.

Can I use WapAlta via wapalta.mobi and then use JAVA-application or I have to choose?

You can use both.

I can’t enter wapalta.mobi as well as JAVA-application. It indicates that there is no connection with server.

Check if GPRS is on. To solve this problem connect your cellular operator.

I’m trying to send message with attached photo file but there is no field to do that.

If you don’t see the field where you can attach the file it means that your mobile phone doesn’t support this function. WapAlta is engineered to adjust to your mobile phone facilities.

Why do I need in my settings such field as «pop-3-server» and «pop-3-login»?

This settings are only for users of old versions of WapAlta. We strongly recommend you to update it.

How can I get subscribes?

You can get it using http://wapalta.mobi or java-application.
To subscribe enter http://wapalta.mobi , input your login and password and press «Enter». Then choose «Subscribes» and mark points that are interesting for you. Then press «Change».
To subscribe via JAVA-application, enter «Settings» and then «Subscribes». Now choose what is interesting for you and mark these points. Press «Save». To go back just press «Cancel» button for several times.
First subscribe you’ll get the next day.

How much does it cost?

Absolutely nothing. WapAlta is a free service.

Are there any additional costs? During the week USD 0.5 was charged off my account!

The only additional costs are for a data traffic from your cellular operator. Please note that our Java-application supports data traffic compression to decrease your charges.

Yes, you can send and receive any attached files! You can view photos, office documents (Word, PDF) and zip-archives with adaptation for you mobile screen.

Can I use my existing email account?

Yes, WapAlta service supports all e-mail platforms (Gmail, MSN, Yahoo!, any POP3 or IMAP4 account).
